It is also a good idea for Lucio players to monitor their tanks closely. Dash around all you want just do this around the core of your team. Lucio can only deal minimal damage at the best of times, and even if you can get an elimination, your team will be at a disadvantage as they are left with only one support. Unless you are rushing back to contest an objective, there is no point going off on your own. Despite being able to speed boost your team, you can leave heroes behind if you wallride or dash around, leaving teammates out of range. However, while you may be able to zoom off as Lucio, it doesn’t mean your team can keep up. I recommend checking it out for yourself - it’s cool and trippy and best of all it’s free.In Overwatch 2, Lucio’s biggest asset is his speed. Rejuvenescência might be my favorite track, although I also like Robot After All for sounding like something Thomas Dolby might have recorded back in the day, in his songs about nuclear submarines phase. It could definitely go into a playlist of music for when I want to feel a bit energized and happy… kind of like the character himself, I suppose. I’d like to know who actually recorded it and see if I can find any other works by them. But it’s surprising me with how listenable it is, and believe me usually I have a really hard time with EDM or Electronica of any kind. Since EDM as we know it would be akin to listening to Big Band music from the 1940’s by the time Lucio is recording, it’s tempting to think of this as him doing a retro concept album. I’m surprised to find that I like it - it feels like old school EDM, surprisingly enough, like something Paul Oakenfold might record after coming out of cryogenic suspension in the Overwatch future. I’m not really sure how to review music that’s both not in my lane and also composed by a fictional character using technology that doesn’t exist yet. But this month, alongside BlizzCon and the Lucio-Oh’s cereal that people are destroying their teeth eating (seriously guys it’s pure sugar your pancreas is screaming) we also got a complete release of that fictional character’s previously fictional album, Synaesthesia Auditiva. Being that Lucio is a fictional character in a video game, I suspect someone at Blizzard actually recorded this, but it’s been a background detail of the character for years now. What’s that? You didn’t know Lucio had an album? Neither did I until several dozen people pointed me to this link, which takes you to a complete album’s worth of music by Lucio. It kind of reminds me of what we thought the future would sound like back in the 90’s. As I type this, I’m listening to Lucio’s album and I gotta be honest with you - it’s not my thing, but it’s not bad.
